Log sawing

During the years our method of cutting has developed from the traditional "through and through" sawmilling (with the bend saw to produce boules) to the actual way of cutting square edged lumber by turning around the logs continuosly in order to maximize the percentage of plain sawn or rift and quarter sawn planks.

Today almosts everthing we make is square edged, but we still make some waney edged (unedged) or boules cut against order.

In order to man tain high levels of quality control and flexibility in what we make, during the years we decided to invest in a number of medium- small sized new production plants, rather then going for a huge and pully authomized sawmill where any changes to standard manufacturing are quite often impossible.
